I Like It Like That

Originally created with an orange background, this oil painting is an example of following through with my plans for an art project but then coming to the conclusion that a different direction would be better for the overall look of the piece. Wanting to capture a moment in dancing, this oil painting was formally inspired by the song Sway by Michael Bublé, but as the purple background with colorful scuff marks representing a dance floor was added, I heard a different tune, I Like It Like That by Pete Rodríguez.
